Maidens & Foster - Auctioneers

Maidens & Foster Auctioneers Ltd

Established in 1996 by Peter Maidens & Todd Foster, both formerly of Lambie & Poyzer Auctions a then well established auction house in Napier, Maidens & Foster has since become a Limited Company owned and operated solely by Todd Foster his wife and family. After starting in a small retail building in Thackery Street, Todd then moved the company in 2000 to the Tennyson St premises where it operates from today.

This building was double the size of where they had started and the business has over the years has grown with it. The two Auction Rooms have enabled Maidens & Foster to continue their Weekly Estate Auctions on Wednesdays and at the same time gather entries for their regular Antique & Collectables Auctions in the other room.

Today the Internet and many other variables have changed the face of trading in antique & second hand goods, but Maidens & Foster prides itself on retaining a traditional and user friendly environment for customers to buy and/or sell goods.

Many different generations now choose to view & purchase items via the internet. With the ability to email photos & information, plus promote products through our website & social media, our buyer catchment is no longer restricted to just the local market. Bidders even have the option now to place a bid through our website.

Maidens & Foster are proud to be members of the Auctioneers Association of New Zealand.
